Purchased RZ42Y helmet for my daughter for the 3rd time now. Perfect fit and she absolutely loves it and won`t consider any another make or design and colour. As always ordering online was easy and it arrived well packaged and in good time. CMR 2016 homologated. Do go 1 size up from your child`s measurement for ultimate comfort as they come up just a tad small in the crown to our experience. We recently received our Zamp helmet for our 6 year old daughter who has just started her karting journey. We were very impressed by the response by Zamp with our enquiries as to helmet size etc and even more impressed with the quality of the helmet when it arrived. The design was great and the quality of the helmet is brilliant. The inserts are incredibly soft and it came very well packaged. Great product, great price, iffy shipping, great customer service.

Ordered my helmet at the start of February and said it was in stock, got an email at 9:30pm that night to say it was shipped. Waited 3 days and nothing so emailed customer service who informed me that the helmet was out of stock and hadn't actually been shipped. They did however give me an estimate of when it would be shipping.

Being impatient, once this time came I emailed them again and they were very patient and transparent with me, sure enough that evening it was shipped. Helmet arrived 2 days after this in great condition and everything accounted for.

The helmet itself was several hundred pounds less expensive than some of it's more recognisable branded competitors and stacks up great!

First impression was that it's very tight on my head but not uncomfortable, after using it for the first time this stayed true and for the first time in a while I got out without the incoming headache.

The main reason I wanted to upgrade from my last helmet was the fogging up. This Zamp WILL NOT fog up no matter how hard I actively try to do it, my last one fogged up when you looked at it.

The design/paint is very striking and may not be to everyone's taste but they have a few different designs and plain ones too. There is one small imperfection near one of the air intakes but it's not noticeable to anybody who isn't inspecting it and at the price point I'd rather have the budget areas be cosmetic.

With my order I also ordered one of the 'prism' visors and the anodised screws to match. The visor was £60 which seems expensive but compared to some brands that are selling visors for £100+ it's also really good value. It looks awesome, helps to make the helmet unique to you and gives a light tint to the wearer that isn't over-powering. It was also super easy to swap, the instructions on the website are super clear and the stiffness of the opening/closing can be adjusted easily. Perhaps printed instructions for changing it would be welcome in the pack?

TL;DR:

Overall I'm really happy with my helmet. Zamp are offering great products at a great price and I'd definitely buy again in the future. Their logistics and shipping could use some fine tuning but I'm impatient I'm sure probably a one off. Unfortunately their customer service doesn't work weekends or reply on socials but they're A++ when they do and they can't be faulted for having time off, I assume they're a low staff business.

Before you purchase go on the website and check for special offers. I got my whole order for 15% off which was a pretty sizeable saving but the week before they were offering free visors and free helmet bags the week after.
